Continuation of a Southern Railway steam excursion on May 31, 1980, from Knoxville to Oneida TN.


Passing near Pemberton.


Crossing the spectacular New River bridge near Helenwood.


Near Lancing. Not far from here was the prison where Martin Luther King assassin James Earl Ray was incarcerated.


Near Coleman, which is 5 miles north of Oakdale.


The train enters Tunnel 25, which is between Oakdale and Harriman. The tunnel had been expanded to accommodate taller railroad cars.


Near Harriman Jct. where the Knoxville line splits from the Cincinnati to Atlanta main line.
