All buses are 40 feet long, except buses identified as articulated at 60 feet long, and 500-544 at 30 feet long. All buses are 102 inches wide except for 500-544, at 96 inches wide.

All buses are air conditioned, low floor, and wheelchair accessible.

Buses 7500-7725 were removed from service in early 2009 due to structural problems, and in 2013 CTA was permitted to sell the buses for scrap.

Buses 4000-4149 were originally ordered by Seattle Metro.
