INTERCITY BUS COMPANIES

VALLEY PUBLIC SERVICE CO.

Formed in 1928 as bus subsidiary of Scioto Valley Railway & Power Co.

Operated from Columbus to Chillicothe OH, and from Columbus to Lancaster and Athens and Pomeroy OH.

Sold 1945 to Valley Greyhound Lines. In 1949, route network swapped to Lake Shore Coach Co. in exchange for routes between Cleveland and Toledo, which became part of Central Greyhound Lines. When Lake Shore Coach Co. ceased operation of these Valley routes in 1974, some remaining services were integrated into the existing Greyhound network.
