Map only shows former St. Andrews Bay Transportation Co., described below. No map could be found for Georgia Stages/Georgia Trailways or successor Modern Coach Corp./Modern Trailways. Georgia Stages/Georgia Trailways had as its main routes Atlanta-Americus-Thomasville-Tallahassee, and Dothan-Thomasville-Waycross.


Incorporated in 1936 as Ader Coach Lines, renamed in 1937 to Georgia Stages, in 1938 joined Trailways as Georgia Trailways.

Subsequently acquired the following company:

Bainbridge-Columbus Motor Lines
Formed in 1929-1930, acquired in 1937.

St. Andrews Bay Transportation Co.
Formed in 1934 as bus subsidiary of Atlanta & St. Andrews Bay Railway, in 1939 joined Trailways as Bay Line Trailways, acquired in 1944.

Coleman Motor Line
Acquired in 1939.

Georgia Stages renamed in 1946 to Modern Coach Corp., operating as Modern Trailways.

Modern Coach Corp. sold in 1956 to Tamiami Trail Tours, sold in 1975 to Continental Trailways.
