BLUE LINE (O'Hare-Congress)

O'Hare Airport to Forest Park
Radio Frequency 471.0375

O'Hare segment on Northwest Side operates variously via elevated, subway, and in Kennedy Expressway median strip. The line is in subway through downtown. The Congress segment on the West Side operates mainly in the Eisenhower Expressway median strip. The outer portion of the Congress segment parallels a CSX railroad line, south of the expressway. From 1958 until 2006, the Douglas line would split from the Congress segment near the Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, climbing to the elevated structure now used by the Pink Line.
