In 1943, CSL adopted a pink transfer form for use between CSL and the Chicago Motor Coach Co. This transfer was issued by CTA some time between 1947 and 1952. The same basic transfer rules applied which had been previously adopted by CSL.
A passenger transferring to Chicago Motor Coach may transfer back to the Surface Division but not again to the Chicago Motor Coach.
When using the Surface Division, transfers will be accepted only at points of crossing, convergence, divergence or extension with line last used. Passengers may transfer from Surface Division to Chicago Motor Coach and from Chicago Motor Coach to Surface Division only at points of crossing, convergence, divergence or extension of the two systems.
Transfers issued only at the time of payment of established fare and valid only for continuous rides over reasonably direct routes allowing for the time necessary to change at transfer points.
Clock on transfer indicates time of leaving zone in which transfer was issued. Traveling time is checked by zone from transfer point back to starting zone. 10 minutes per zone is considered the standard running time.
Reverse riding will be subject to satisfactory answers to questioning.
PENALTY FOR FRAUDULENT USE
No person shall sell, barter, exchange, give away or offer for passage this transfer with intent to deprive the C. T. A. of the rate, fare and charges established for the right of transfer.
Violators are subject to a fine of not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. (Ordinance No. 12)
