Bus routes are color coded as follows:

501 - West Jefferson/Forest Park (Arthur Ave.) - GREEN
502 - Marquette/Forest Park (Gage St.) - LIGHT BLUE
503 - East Washington/Raynor Park - RED
504 - Black Road/Cass - BLACK
505 - Rockdale/Gardner - ORANGE
506 - Lidice/2nd Ave. - PURPLE
507 - Crest Hill - OLIVE
508 - Lockport/South Joliet - BROWN
509 - Larkin Crosstown - DARK BLUE

After the 1981 RTA funding crisis, several routes were consolidated.
