UNION STATION

The newer Union Station entrance on Canal Street, primarily for Amtrak trains. The "Coach USA" bus is actually operated by Van Galder Bus Lines, providing Amtrak "Thruway" bus service to and from Madison, Wisconsin.

Metra passengers generally use Union Station entrances next to the Chicago River, here at Adams Street, and a similar entrance at Jackson Boulevard.

The south concourse of Union Station. Metra passengers generally use the escalators at the far left for access too and from the concourse, avoiding interference with Amtrak passengers.

A similar set of escalators is used for Metra passengers to access the north part of Union Station.

In recent years, an auxiliary entrance to Union Station was constructed at Madison Street, serving most of the tracks on the north side of the station. Stairways lead down to the platforms.
