Pace Orion I bus repainted to advertise the Discovery Channel. Location is at the CTA Davis Street station in Evanston, bus is on the #250 Dempster route.
More recently at the CTA Davis Street station in Evanston, also on the #250 Dempster route, Pace Orion I bus #2093 advertises Apple's original "IMac" computers.
Pace Orion I bus #2370 was repainted for use on the "Cubs Roundtripper" service between Schaumburg and Wrigley Field, for Chicago Cubs baseball games. The bus is decorated to resemble the Wrigley Field bleachers, including the classic vines on the outfield walls. Location is outside Wrigley Field.
In later years, a Pace Orion VI bus was repainted for use on the "Cubs Roundtripper", with different images of Wrigley Field. When no game was being played, the bus could appear on any Pace Northwest route. In this case, the #250 Dempster route, seen at the O'Hare Airport "Kiss and Fly" terminal.
Pace eventually started operating special bus service to Chicago White Sox games at US Cellular Field. Including with this Orion VI bus, painted with an image of the exploding scoreboard. When no game was being played, the bus could appear on any Pace Southwest route. In this case, the #386 Harlem route, seen at the Midway Airport transit terminal.
Some Pace bus routes in Du Page County were once operated by Laidlaw, formerly Vancom, using these Bluebird Buses.
