Gateway to Zeeland province, in the southwestern part of the country. On the line from Dordrecht and Lage Zwaluwe south into Belgium. Immediately north of the station, a line diverges east to Breda. Immediately south of the station, a line diverges west to Vlissingen. South of Roosendaal, on the line to Belgium, a voltage gap is visible with the satellite imagery, where trains make the transition between the Dutch 1,500 volts and the Belgian 3,000 volts, DC.
