HAARLEM
A short distance west of Amsterdam, and the capital of Noord Holland province. On the line from Amsterdam to Rotterdam. Immediately west of the station, the line to Rotterdam turns south towards Leiden. Also west of the station, a line proceeds west to Zandvoort. And another line diverges north to Uitgeest, where it joins the line from Amsterdam to Alkmaar and Den Helder.
