This town is famous for its cheese, on the line from Utrecht and Woerden to Rotterdam. At Moordrecht Aansluiting (Interlocking), 3 km west of the station, a line diverges west to Den Haag, and another line diverges north to Alphen a/d Rijn. The main eastbound platform is between Track 3 and Track 5, and the main westbound platform is between Track 8 and Track 10. The west end of each platform forks into two narrower platforms, between those platforms are Track 4 and Track 9. These are stub tracks no longer regularly used. Track 11 is used by terminating trains to and from Alphen a/d Rijn.
