Miscellaneous Outlying Stations

Most outlying stations remain the same, on the three lines which evolved to the Metra service. But a few stations were discontinued or relocated.

Stations capitalized and without commentary are present Metra stations, further information on stations at official Metra Web Site.

Milepost locations are indicated, distance from Chicago.

Exact locations are not available for all stations.


Arlington Heights (22.4) - an earlier station was located along Northwest Hwy. between Evergreen Ave. and Dunton Ave., on the north side of the tracks.

Palatine (26.3) - an earlier station was located at Bothwell St. and Slade St., on the north side of the tracks. An even earlier station was located a short distance west of there.

Barrington (31.6) - an earlier station was located immediately southeast of Main St., on the north side of the tracks. An even earlier station was located there, on the south side of the tracks.

CRYSTAL LAKE (42.9)

Ridgefield (45.7) - discontinued stop, station apparently was located west of Market St., on the north side of the tracks.

WOODSTOCK (51.3)

Hartland (55.7) - discontinued stop, station apparently was located east of Nelson Rd., on the north side of the tracks.
