METRA PHOTOS

NORTH CENTRAL SERVICE

More photos will added here in the future.

In 1996, three weeks after the introduction of the Metra service, a northbound Metra train is stopped at the O'Hare Transfer station.

In 1994, two years before introduction of the Metra service, a Wisconsin Central freight train is seen heading north through Buffalo Grove, with SD45 #6522 in the lead. The Buffalo Grove station was constructed south of the Pace bus terminal, where a Pace bus is visible.

The same location in 2001. The Buffalo Grove station is visible to the left, and the bus terminal with a Pace bus is to the right.

In 2004, a southbound Metra train is stopped at the Mundelein station, as a northbound freight train passes.

Metra North Central train #105 from Chicago has just arrived at the Antioch station on August 19, 1996, the first day of service for this line.
