Route began at 63rd St./Halsted St., and operated south via Halsted and Vincennes, exiting Chicago city limits at 119th St. into Blue Island. Continued south through Blue Island, Harvey, Chicago Heights, Crete, west to Monee, and southwest paralleling the Illinois Central Railroad to Kankakee.

Outside the city of Chicago, some replacement bus service eventually evolved into the Pace South Division. Pace routes presently serving this area include route 349 between Blue Island and Harvey, route 352 between Harvey and Chicago Heights, and route 358 from Chicago Heights as far south as Steger.
