Formed in 1922 as bus subsidiary of Pittsburgh Harmony Butler & New Castle Railway, an interurban railway. Operated until 1961, with various routes assumed by new companies Grove City Bus Lines until 1986, and Lincoln Coach Lines until 1985. Suburban bus service in Pittsburgh area eventually became part of publicly owned Port Authority Transit (PAT).
