Began operations in 1925 as The Short Line, in 1970 renamed Bonanza Bus Lines. In 1955 acquired Rhode Island Bus Co. In 1958 acquired many routes from New England Transportation Co. which ceased operations. New England Transportation Co. was formed 1925 as a subsidiary of New York New Haven & Hartford Railroad. And in 1939 transferred longer intercity routes transferred to New England Greyhound Lines, jointly owned by New York New Haven & Hartford Railroad and Greyhound Lines.

In 1970 acquired Interstate Busses Corp. Sold 2003 to Peter Pan Bus Lines.
