Reassignments of the 4400 series buses have resulted in assignments not being in continuous blocks. Only 51 4000's remained, all based at North Park.

Of the buses built by TMC and Flxible in 1991, buses retired are 4583, 4636, 4905, 5337, 5356, 5530, 5677. Of the buses built by New Flyer in 1995, buses retired are 5801, 5814, 5820, 5829, 5842, and 5853. Also retired is former Seattle M.A.N. articulated bus 7380.
