At all substations, buildings and transformers owned by Commonwealth Edison, rotary converters owned by Calumet & South Chicago Railway. Last streetcars operated 1955.


SOUTH CHICAGO
9347 S. South Chicago Ave. (near 93rd St.)

Equipped for DC 1909, rotary converters 25 hertz.

Originally installed 2 1,000 kilowatt rotary converters, total 2,000 kilowatts.
1910 added 1 1,000 kilowatt rotary converter from 20th Street, total 3,000 kilowatts.

Remains a Commonwealth Edison substation, decommissioned as CTA substation.


GRAND CROSSING
7675 S. South Chicago Ave. (near 77th St.)

Equipped for DC 1909, rotary converters 25 hertz.

Originally installed 2 1,000 kilowatt rotary converters, total 2,000 kilowatts.
1923 added 1 1,000 kilowatt rotary converter from 63rd Street, total 3,000 kilowatts.

Remains a Commonwealth Edison substation, decommissioned as CTA substation.


ROSELAND
10847 S. Michigan Ave. (near 109th St.)

Equipped for DC 1909, rotary converters 25 hertz.
