WISCONSIN (ADDITIONAL AREAS)

Mostly a sampling of bus companies listed in the 1952 Mass Transportation's Directory.

GREEN BAY AREA

Shawano & Wausau Bus Line - existed in 1930's, possibly evolved to Green Bay Wausau Lines, later Wisconsin Michigan Coach.


MADISON AREA

Central Wisconsin Transportation Co. - began operations in 1929, served Madison and Middleton, at least into 1950's.

Hiawatha Stage Line - began operations in 1938, served Wisconsin Dells, Portage, Pardeeville, Cambria, Randolph, Fox Lake, Beaver Dam, at least into 1950's.

East Shore Transportation Cos. - began operations in 1932, served Madison and Lake View Sanitorium.


OSHKOSH AREA

Sioux Limited - existed in 1930's.


WISCONSIN RAPIDS AREA

400 Bus Line - served Wisconsin Rapids, Port Edwards, Nekoosa, Friendship, Adams.

Tri-City Bus Co. - served Wisconsin Rapids, Port Edwards, Nekoosa, Grand Rapids, Biron.


LAKE SUPERIOR AREA

Lake Shore Bus Co. - began operations in 1934, served Ashland, Washburn, Bayfield.


LAKE MICHIGAN AREA

Appleton-Sheboygan Bus Line - no further information.

Two Rivers Transit - city service in Two Rivers.


MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AREA

Badger State Transportation Co. - served Arcadia to Winona MN and intermediate points.

Black Hawk Bus Lines - served Prairie Du Chien, Eastman, Seneca, Mount Sterling, Ferryville, De Soto, Victory, Genoa, Stoddard, La Crosse.

Bluebird Line - served Menomonie, Red Wing MN.

McCoy Western Stages - served La Crosse, West Salem, Bangor, Rockland, Camp McCoy.


OBSCURE INTERCITY BUS COMPANIES

Bus companies operating over longer distances than the above suburban and interurban companies, but not listed in the Russell's Guide.

Wisconsin Central Coaches - intercity served Madison, Baraboo, Reedsburg, Hillsboro, Cashton, La Crosse.
